Long-wire chopper

The new Lotti long-wire chopper enables rapid and effective mechanical weed control thanks to the fast rotational movement of the strings around it. In addition, it is able to act on a larger surface than the traditional chopper, precisely because of the greater length of the wires. The long-wire chopper is equipped with a 4mm diameter cutting wire organised into sections, on each of which the length of the wire can be adjusted by means of reels. The extension spring with which the tool is equipped also makes it possible to approach the plants without damaging them during grass cutting, without, however, dispensing with a high working speed.

The long-wire chopper is available in two versions, 50cm and 70cm length, preferable depending on the surface of the soil on which weed control is sought. It is also possible to transform the standard wire chopper into a long-wire chopper by means of a special kit.

The long-wire chopper was designed as a natural piece of equipment for the new BIO mechanical weeder. In addition to it, the TRFL is interchangeable with each Lotti in-row cultivators, in particular with the following machines:
