The new BIO mechanical weeder has been specifically designed to allow mechanical, rapid and effective weeding in vineyards and orchards. It is available in both single and double versions and is always equipped with the long-wire chopper, which allows the grass to be cut on a larger surface than the previous choppers in the Lotti range.

The long-wire chopper is equipped with an extension spring that allows it to approach the plants without damaging them. This way, it is possible to proceed at a working speed of about 4 km/h. The weeding wires with which the choppers are equipped have a diameter of 4mm and are divided into ten sections of 10 meters each. To restore the ideal working length – between 60cm and 80cm – simply unlock the spool of each section and extract the desired amount of wire.

In all versions, the BIO weeder is equipped with an hydraulic auxiliary unit, which supplies both the movements of the machine and the engines of the choppers, as well as with an oil cooler. Thanks to the autonomous hydraulic system, the weeder does not weigh on the tractor’s hydraulic system and can work continuously even in the hottest periods, reducing the risk of overheating.

The machine is connected to the tractor at the rear third point and requires a power take-off at 400 rpm to operate its hydraulic system. It is therefore very easy to connect and adapts to all tractors on the market.

The BIO mechanical weeder is available in the following versions:

• BIO 110.2: single machine with 2 hydraulic movements
• BIO 110.4: single machine with 4 hydraulic movements
• BIO 120.4: double machine with 2 hydraulic movements per side
• BIO 120.8: double machine with 4 hydraulic movements per side
